I made this sooo much with my Mom as a kid, and it has become a birthday tradition for a little girl I used to nanny...all because of me!

I have always just used crushed up oreos, brownies broken into pieces, and chocolate pudding. Never used the coolwhip-ey mixture, but boy does it sound good!

I also have always gotten gummy "bugs" from any bulk candy store. Then you get worms, spiders, crickets, etc. and the kids just love it.

I have always served it with a garden trowel, but I always add fake flowers to the top to really make it look like a potted plant that you can eat. DELISH!!!

Makes me want to make some with my munchkins this afternoon...

Thanks for sharing!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18363805874820697419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051109379373693131.post-66471652226956047282010-06-12T09:46:05.934-05:002010-06-12T09:46:05.934-05:00I did this for Cole's first birthday cake. I got a new toy tonka dump truck and made a dirt cake complete with worms in the back of the truck. The kids (& adults) loved it.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16858869247835521362noreply@blogger.com
