My number one of the night goes to Lea Michelle. She looked amazing. UH-MAH-ZING. Make-up, body, dress, hair. This girl can rock it!

She is truly gorgeous!

Also loved Sofia Veraga. Unreal how beautiful she is. Maybe the Sophia Loren of our time!

Nicole looked great. I am not always a fan of her fashion looks, but girlfriend brought it last night!

Jessica Alba looked fantastic....Her best accessory? Her hawt husband Cash Warren!

Salma Hayek gave Sophia a run for her money last night! Beautiful and look at that hourglass figure.

Octavia Spencer looked wonderful! I was crying when she read her speech. SO proud of my hometown and The Help!

Nicole Richie looked gorgeous and very Old Hollywood Glam!

WORST DRESSED....

Reese needed to re-think this. It looks about 4 sizes too small. Smushed boobs and not sure about the hair, either!

Sarah Michelle Gellar looks great but the dress? Awful!!! She said her 2 year old picked it out. I think she colored on it with a magic marker, also.

Michelle Williams? Not crazy about her looks the last two years. Some people voted her best dressed. Not me.

And there aren't words for this. Kelly, what is UP with your hair? Awful.

This book is fabulous!! It will change your life and the way you look at food all together and you will start to question every single thing you put in your body. Beef? You will look at it so differently. Sugar? Dairy? The government tells us that all these things are all healthy and yet our nation is getting fatter and fatter. I have never been on this whole bandwagon but this makes you see things VERY clearly!! Download this now! You won't be sorry!

Switching gears, I am hoping for maybe a 2 piece this year?!?! LOTS of work to do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes I know that it is January 12 2012. I am just a little behind. Two kids under my feet make me slower at everything but I wouldn't change it for the world!!!

As much as I hate undecorating after Christmas, I also love the start of a New Year and all the things that come with that, such as organizing and cleaning and setting new goals for the year. What are your goals? I would love to hear!

Mine are the following:

1) unplug from the computer/iPhone/iPad etc. and actually communicate face to face!

2) send more cards and happies to people who need them...

3) plant a vegetable garden

4) craft more! Dont you just love Pinterest?! It's like fantasy football for girls. It's amazing what I am capable of making!

5) Read Gods word more and more and more. I have recently started a Beth Moore Bible Study entitled "James" and I had no idea how deep we would be going! I just love Beth Moore.

6) Quit cleaning so much and just play with my babies.

7) Keep my word and don't overcommit.

8) Be healthy and not worry so much about being skinny.

9) Run 3-4 times a week.

10) NO MORE COKE ZEROS! Two weeks out and not a one! So proud of myself!!!!!

MORE CHRISTMAS 2011!

These are some of my favorite shots of Christmas this year. We went to visit my grandmother who will be 89 in a few weeks in the nursing home. This woman is a prayer warrior and gave birth to 7 children. That always blows my mind. I can't take care of 2 kids. Ha! Anyway, Paisley always enjoys the nursing home and the patients love to come by and visit. She thinks it is so fun to push my Grandmother in her wheel chair. Hilarious.

We took them candy canes to pass out and little bags of sugar free candy. Paisley loved that part. Anything dealing with candy makes her happy. And Griffin had a great time chasing 2 balloons as fast as he could. They are so precious!

One night, we all went up to Canton to look at the square and see the Christmas lights. If any of you have ever seen A Time To Kill, this is where the movie was shot. At Christmas, they turn there town square into a village of lights. This Christmas Tree was my favorite part! We took lots of family photos here!

One of me and my sister, Rana. I love her so much and I am so proud of her. She is truly a selfless person who does so much for others. I am so grateful to have a sister.

Show Us Your Life. 2011 Christmas Decor.

LORD HAVE MERCY! It has been a long month. I have NO excuses (at all) as to why I have not blogged, but I have been in a major blogging slump. Along with a crazy hectic schedule with kids and traveling to Mississippi and all sorts of things. I have missed you all SO very much! I have some great things rolling out, so be sure to check in often!

Okay, so back to Kelly's Korner Blog and the Show Us Your Life tour....I went a little nutso and Christmas decor this year. My husband said our house looked like Christmas on steroids. I really didn't realize how much I had decorated until yesterday, as when I had to start un-decorating and packing it all up. Um, yeah. I went crazy. I decorated 6 trees. But you know what? I had a blast and loved every minute of it. And Paisley loved it more than I did. I have a major Martha Stewart on my hands!

Above is my big tree. I have had this tree for 6 years. I have lots of random and very nice ornaments here! Funny story....I was engaged before I met Stephen and we had a huge Christmas Engagement Party. Everyone brought ornaments as a gift. I did not want to throw them all away when we broke up, so I kept them. Stephen thinks it is pretty funny that we put all these ornaments up. He finds it ironic :) (thank goodness he is a good sport!) Anyway, I also love some decor poly mesh!! Easiest decorating tool ever made!!

Griffin's Tree is super fun! He has lots of whimsical and little boy trinkets on his tree. Like this Dinosaur Ornament....

He has lots of pirates, cars, and trucks!

I made these ornaments with ribbon and scrapbook stickers. Superfun!

It turned out really cute and fun! That was the idea...

My kitchen is home to my nutcracker collection. I have around 40 currently. They are my "little men" as Paisley calls them!

One of my most precious gifts is my Fontanini Nativity Collection. I love the face that these pieces are actually plastic, so the kids can play with them as much as they want!

One of my new trees is in my kitchen. It is placed on a rotating stand, which is so cool! I love being able to see all the ornaments up close! I also decorated this tree with red and white ribbon from Hobby Lobby, along with lots of nutcracker ornaments and homed ornaments made by my kids...

FESTIGOODY 2011

I have no excuses for not blogging, just busy with life! I really hope that you all will forgive me!

I am committing to myself to do a better job! Here's to 2012! Ha!

The first Saturday night in December we hosted Festigoody. This is by far one of my favorite nights of the year! I love the fact that all my friends get dressed up in WAY fancy dresses!! They all know how much I love this night!

My food table was fabulous but unfortunately this is after the masses came through. We had a huge platter of cheeses, fruit, and crackers, along with two insanely large platters of fresh sushi from Whole Foods topped with crab and lobster. I also made a delicious shrimp marinade dish that was out-of-this-world! It was basically cooked shrimp, onions, and artichokes topped with a vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was made up of red wine vinegar, splenda, olive oil, mustard, and thyme blended well and poured over the three ingredients. Try it!

My peacock tree that is missing the tree topper! Haha. I will post an updated one soon.

The dessert table was filled with fresh fruit tarts, fudge, cookies, caramel, and white wedding cookies.

Too much wine!!

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We certainly did...Too bad vacations have to end...We were heading home Saturday and met with tons of rain,freezing cold weather and rain that was part sleet...It has yet to stop!! And they are calling for possible snow tomorrow night!??!! Yuck. I am already over winter and it isn't even here yet...I am so thankful for 4 seasons!! Anyways, here are some pictures of our weekend in Mississippi...

Griffin and Paisley love playing in my mama and daddy's bathtub! That is always the highlight of the trip, along with staying in a hotel. Paisley thinks that a hotel is just the ultimate. Jumping on the bed, staying up late, free breakfast with unlimited cinnamon rolls and 4 different kinds of cereals? She is in Heaven.

Anyway, here are some pictures!!

I love the exposed brick in their house. My mama should give up nursing and law and start building and designing homes. She is very talented!

PUMPKIN PATCH WALDEN FARMS!

I am so behind on posts, but I definitely wanted to show some love to Walden Farms. This is the greatest pumpkin patch in Middle Tennessee! It is so cute and the Walden Family are devout Christians and upstanding citizens. Sweet Grace Hamilton (our friend with leukemia) loves the pumpkin patch! She wanted to go very badly, but due to her counts being so low, she could not be around other children. SO guess what? Walden Farms let her come early and they were able to ride everything and see all the animals!! So very nice! Paisley and Grace had too much fun!

A few weeks later, we met Grammy and Pappy for another day at the farm!

You can buy a punch card for $10.oo and that pays for all your rides and games. It is so cute! Definitely check them out next year!

I know, I know. Halloween was weeks ago. I am so behind on virtually everything. Better late than never, right???

I hosted a 2nd Annual Girls Bunco Night on Thursday, October 27th. 16 girls came and some serious dice rolling occurred!! We all brought a heavy appetizer and a bottle of wine, and also $10.00 for the pot! The winner took $50.00, best costume took $50.00, Most Bunco's took $50.00, and the loser took back home their $10.00.....Very fun!

She went as a Raven...It was so beautiful and fun!

I loved this glitter cauldron. I purchased at Cracker Barrel. The Frankenstein bags are notecards from the 1$ bin at Wal-Mart, and then glued to plain brown bags from the craft store.

My favorite thing I made were these Spooky Sundaes. I made BBQ Brisket, topped with mashed potatoes, sprinkled with cheddar cheese, and topped with a tomato. SO cute!

I also loved these Nutter Butter "ghosts" cookies....SO fun! The cookies were dipped in white chocolate, and then I used cake pop eyes purchased from Joann's. Super easy!!

And who says Mommies can't have fun? I LOVED these!!

The best costume was a tie and went to The Black Swan and The Raven....

Last week was a big one! We took Paisley to Disney World!!!! What a fun week.....actually, the most fun in my ENTIRE LIFE! Watching my sweet girl have the time of her life was so stinking fun. Princesses? Yes! Costumes? Yes. Rides? Yes. Cotton Candy? Yes. Paisley was on Cloud 1 million and nine! Ha. And secretly, I was too. It really was fun.

I hated not taking Griffin, but at 19 months, it would have sucked. Plain and simple. Thank goodness I have selfless in-laws who kept him for us. He will get to visit Disney when he is older. As in, 12. Just kidding.

I will apologize now....This is the longest post EVER. And the amount of pictures on this post are insane! I am embarrassed to admit I took about 900 pictures. I am justifying it by trying to savor the memories...

This was right before heading to the airport. To say she was excited was an understatement!

Her outfit says, "Disney or Bust" A sweet friend from Etsy made it. Her store name is "Anna Banana Couture"...

We left on Wednesday night and stayed at a Ramada hotel by the airport in order to make Thursday an easier day. Very smart move!

We flew Southwest direct from Nashville to Orlando. Paisley loved the flight as much as Disney. She is at such a sweet and easy age. I wish I could freeze time!

Me and my sweet girl!!! She was nearly asleep at this point, but way too excited!!

On Thursday, we checked in at The Contemporary Resort. It was a very expensive hotel that we stayed in for convenience! I think it is insane what they charge and it isn't anything special. It is the equivalent of a really nice Hilton. Nothing more. HOWEVER, we were able to walk to Magic Kingdom and that was worth the money. No breaking strollers down, no boarding buses, etc. It was very nice! We also took the monorail occasionally, but most of the time, walking was the fastest way...

This was a thank you kiss from my sweet girl!!

Mary Poppins was the first person we met when walking onto Main Street. She was in awe! The characters were BY FAR one of her favorite parts of Disney. She never minded standing in lines because she was so excited to meet them!

She also loved the windows at the front of Main Street with the stories of all the Disney Classic Movies. Everyday we stopped and looked the displays....

She was in shock and awe. I think she was even drooling at times!

The Disney PhotoPass is wonderful. You register your photopass card and Disney photographers take professional pictures at every major attraction and character spot. They just scan your card and they are downloaded everyday. So convenient!

Disney hires the greatest people! They are all so skilled at what they do! I love that about Disney. This gentleman was a retired Papaw who works here so basically his grandkids can come visit. I loved it!

When Snow White opened the door, Paisley was glazed over!!! Snow White immediately sat down and they conversed for a good 5-10 minutes! SO fun! Carpe the heck out of this Diem!

November was an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME time to visit! In a perfect world, we would have gone Monday thru Thursday, due to the crowds being MUCH less during the week. But the lines were so manageable! We waited 20-25 minutes max for anything!

The stepsisters were hilarious! They were so funny! Doesn't the one on the right look like Kathy Griffin? Laugh Out Loud!

Princess Aurora rules supreme in the Goody Household! I was informed to take MANY pictures of her. Everyday there is a Street Parade in Magic Kingdom. It is wonderful because you see all the major characters. This was by far my favorite part of the day. They also had LOTS of interaction with the kids in this parade.

Stephen was out of control on this trip. He let Paisley have ANYTHING she wanted. And I do mean anything. I finally had to put a major foot down by the end of the week! We were running out of luggage room and I was afraid we have new cavities!!

The Disney Electrical Parade is usually every night about 8 or 9, followed by fireworks. Prepare yourself for long days at Disney!!

We ate dinner on Thursday at Narcoosses' located at The Grand Floridian. It was wonderful! I would definitely eat here again... They are known for their lobster that is fresh and flown in daily. It is a 2 table service meal, but definitely worth spending two table services on it. I think when we go back we will stay at The Grand Floridian. It was beautiful!

On Friday, we woke up EARLY and went to Epcot, with a breakfast at Akershus Royal Table in Norway. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!! For a few reasons: 1) One table service only, 2) Delicious Food, and 3) A picture is included!!

Paisley had the time of her life!!!

She loved the princesses!! She was completely star struck!!

My favorite picture!!! She loves Aurora so this was a special moment. She was so happy...

I loved The Little Mermaid!! Check out her necklace?! Love!

The highlight of the day was meeting Jasmine! She was PUMPED! haha. Jasmine was so sweet and she spent about 15 minutes with us! There was no line! It was great!!!!

Paisley asked her lots of quetions about Aboo and Alladin. And Jafar. haha.

The Food and Wine festival was going on at Epcot and let me just say....OMGEE! We ate enough to kill us!!! They had tapas at every country in the World Showcase and they were delicious!! We also had the best pastries in France! I had Creme Brulee that was out of this world!!

We did not buy Park Hoppers (This is where you can go in between parks all day, everyday) so on Friday night, we watched the fireworks from our hotel balcony and then ate dinner at The California Grill and it was delicious! Very much packed, so definitely make a reservation here.

After dinner, Paisley talked Stephen into ANOTHER stuffed animal, Lotso Hugging Bear. And yes, he did smell like strawberries. HA!

We had an awesome arcade in our hotel that Paisley was DYING to go in! SO of course we played and I think we won a slinky and two Dum Dums.

On Saturday, we went to the Bibbiti Boppity Boutique for Paisley to have her hair done by the fairy godmothers. She loved it!! She thought she was a REAL princess at this point. We saved money here by taking our own princess costume and just paid for hair, make-up, and painted nails. When they spun her around, she about fainted!

Afterwards, we went and met Rapunzel. She was a hot ticket at MK due to the fact that there is only one of her! She was so sweet and supernice!

And after that, we went and rode the teacups with the Mad Hatter and Alice. What a great memory!! A sweet little boy on this ride was a Make A Wish contestant....He was so cute. It broke my heart...

We had lots of fun in Fantasyland, but also in Frontier Land as well. It was actually chilly this day, which was so nice!!

COUNTY FAIR BIRTHDAY...

We went to the biggest birthday party ever this weekend for our friend Max as he celebrated his 3rd birthday party. His mama outdid herself. She made me look like an amateur! Seriously. It was a county fair theme. And I mean a real actual FAIR with rides and games and the whole nine yards!

My kids had a great time eating! Here is Griffin on his 3rd corn dog. I had to cut him off. He was like a drunk at an open bar wedding.

Paisley was, too. She had approximately 3 helpings of cotton candy. Sorry I didn't get a picture of her. I was trying to keep Griffin away from the real live animals.

SO this party was unreal....

This might be my favorite cake ever. Made with love by Puffy Muffin...

This party was held in Cross Plains, Tennessee on a farm and it was gorgeous...The party guests received empty prize bags and circus hats when you arrived thru the gates and there were about 10 games under individual tents set up, and the kids got to participate in each one for prizes. Under the big tent were tables and chairs and a balloon clown on stilts. He made lots of jokes and balloons. His name was Tiny the Clown.

Down the hill were the rides. Yes, you read that correctly. Actually Tennessee State Fair rides. There was also a motorized train that the kids had so much fun riding. They took them all over the farm and down by the lake. Griffin loved it!

After that, we went to the petting zoo. They had about 50 animals that we got to hold and pet, and at the end they released two doves.

The food was ah-maz-ing. Corn dogs, cotton candy, hot funnel cakes, hamburgers, fries, and cake from Puffy Muffin. They had an actual fair food truck! Unbelievable!

RANDOM THOUGHTS...

1. I really hate Pinterest. And by hate I mean secretly love. I find myself pinning workouts, then tutorials on how to build furniture, chalk paint it, and then embellish it with a cake stand that I can make with materials from the dollar store, and finally a recipe on Chocolate Rolo Cookies. I am a complete pinterest schizophrenic. I have been to the dollar store about 14 times in the past month. I have made something new for dinner every night (my husband loves it, my grocery bill...not-so-much), and I want a Cricut and a sewing machine for Christmas. Ahhh, the craziness. I need to hurry and write this post because I need to pin a few more tonight. Tee hee. I kid. Not really.

2.I am loving being home with my babies. I love the time we have together everyday. I love the fact that I am reading to my kids in voices and singing and playing crazy games like "Let's-lock- mommy-in-the-closet-and-let-her-open-the-door-and-scare-us" and they laugh until they can't breath. Or "Candy Land", where we play with real candy and it goes from calm to out.of.control. I thought Griffin was eating candy and he was actually eating Lord Licorice. I never did find the rest of the pieces.Who knows where they are? SO we now play with Disney princess figurines and a Chuck E Cheese figurine piece from a birthday loot bag. I just go with it.

And my house is a disaster. No, seriously. It is. Dog prints, footprints on the floor and wall, toys everywhere, and all I do is clean up messes all day and they make another one. And then they eat all day, and then somebody poops. And I clean that up. And usually even change my clothes or his. And then they want to get out colors and markers and crafts. And then they want to go outside. I am not gonna lie...I am a mess. I am so tired by 8:30 I could cry. I live for gym time and outings. Is that bad? It is a different hard...Not deadlines and stress, but just constant nagging. And ohhh, the arguing over stupid toys.HAA. Please don't vote me for Worst Mom Ever. I am trying hard...just an adjustment...

My good friend Craig Noone passed away early Friday morning from a car accident. Craig was 32 and was on top of the world. For you Mississippi folks, Craig opened the hugely popular Parlor Market restaurant in downtown Jackson. Parlor Market (also called PM) had recently celebrated its 1 year anniversary. In the short time they have been open, it has won 25 awards, becoming the most delicious place in town to eat. Craig served as owner and executive chef.

The craziest part of this story is that I talked to Craig Thursday night about eating at the restaurant. I kept joking that I needed a monkey to entertain my children and asked when he was headed to Nashville to open a spin off? Who would have known he would be killed later that night. I seriously cannot express how much guilt I have about not going to eat Thursday. I wish I would have hugged his neck one last time.

Craig was not married and leaves behind no children, but he leaves behind a large group of extended family, high school and college friends, and an entire restaurant staff that is devastated. Please pray for them in the days ahead as they figure out the next steps and how to continue blazing a trail in downtown Jackson.

We will miss you Craig. You were handsome, sweet, charming, and a total Eddie Hascal. HA!

You could make anyone feel good about themselves. Even me....look at my eyebrows. They were HIDEOUS. I will get you back Gaye Ragland. Remember I pick your nursing home...

Seriously, Craig was my date to numerous formals, swaps, and parties because of his ability to close down the dance floor time and time again, and to treat me like a lady.

Sorry I have been MIA..I have been in Mississippi for the past week with my sweet family...

We had such a nice time and Griffin and his roasted ear of corn had a great time, too. Bless his heart he likes to eat as much as his mama...

And Paisley had the time of her life...She jumped and jumped and jumped and jumped!

Stephen drove down with us on Friday and stayed until Sunday. After that, he left to go back to work and I was solo the rest of the week. Yikes!!! My mama and daddy helped me tons but they also had to work all week...

On Saturday, Griffin had a nice time being naked and eating a Fudgesicle...I love his little booty shots!

We also ate at Hamil's on Saturday night. It is the best Meat and 3 ever ever ever! We had so much fun hanging out with our family! I am so excited to go back for another 2 weeks in November. Anna Blaire and Joe stayed with us most of the weekend and we played a lot of Scrabble and Uno! I love my nieces and nephews. They are precious...

Mommy got my hair did yesterday...way darker. A little too dark for me but I am trying to roll with it. Darker means fewer colors, which means I save some money. Ugh. And that's all I have to say about that!

And sweet Muffin got his hair cut today. He did so good. But he is WILD. Busted his lip open in two spots and cried like crazy. He's a bit dramatic. It runs in the family. Ha!

And lastly, are you all watching Revenge? Such a great show!! I love it!! Happy Wednesday. Oh wait, it's now Thursday! One day til Friday! YAHOO!

This is just because I love Hugh Jackman and WOWZERS! He is cuuute!

But not quite as cute as this one! Sweet Muffin kicks.my.tail. Thank GOODNESS he is cute, sweet, kissable, lovable, and has some ooh la la dimples!!

Griffin was 18 months on Friday! I cannot believe how big my baby boy is growing.

SOME FACTS ABOUT GRIFFIN:

-He loves to hug and kiss.

-He calls most things daddy. Or dah-dah.

-He has a FULL set of teeth. I think he is only missing two!

-He loves to eat chicken legs, muffins or doughnuts, fruit, yogurt, macaroni, peas, scrambled eggs, goldfish, pretty much everything you put in front of him!!

HE LOVES TO BE OUTSIDE! loves. loves. loves. He stands at the door all the livelong day and asks to go swing. It will be a LONG winter!!

He also throws temper tantrums and this is NOT fun, but kinda funny. When he becomes truly angry he will bite himself and bang his head on the wall.

He.is.fearless. He will climb up a 6 ft. wall at Monkey Joe's and never look back. I have had to climb in there twice and remove him kicking and screaming.

He also LOVES to dance. As in, goes crazy. He loves to break it down!!

Total Opposite Direction:

I freaking LOVE this Cupcake Maker. It is awesome to make cornbread muffins for dinner and also little blueberry muffins in the morning. I use it at least twice a week. Just thought I would share! Ha.

I told y'all this was a random post! Paisley has been taking swimming lessons for the past 6 weeks with a wonderful lady named Kennette Pyles. She is probably one of the coolest people I have ever met. She has been teaching Infant Survival Swimming for years, ever since she lost her own son at 18 months old at a lake. Can you imagine? My greatest fear in life is losing one of my children and she lost hers in the water and she gets in and swims every single day. What a testimony! Anyway, she is so great. Paisley absolutely hated the water and if you splashed her face she would cry and cry. Now she BEGS to swim everyday. She is jumping off the side, swimming under water, holding her breath, it is truly unreal. Be warned, it is a big commitment but a good one! You swim every day for 10 minutes for 6-7 weeks. You read that correctly. Every day. Call Kennette! She is on Facebook or Prairie Life Fitness can get you in contact with her. If you want to take next year, CALL NOW! She is nearly booked for next April.

I also had to share this darling hat I bought at Nordstrom's for Paisley. The kiddie section is to die for!!

I love this picture of Paisley and her little friends. These two sisters had the cutest birthday party at Divas and Dudes. We miss the Goddard School but it is SO fun having her home with me!

I also love this picture from my phone of Paisley helping me make cupcakes in a Tinkerbell costume! Staying home is so different in so many ways!! I still find myself waking up, applying make-up, styling my hair, and wearing jewelry! ha! I still make to-do lists and try to have some sort of a schedule. I am also trying to make sure we are home in the afternoons for the kids to take naps!

The things I am struggling with are definitely guilt of not working, and the fact that I don't want Stephen lifting a finger. I feel like my responsibilities are everything else. Which is hard. I need a break from the kids, too. Thank goodness Grammy and Pappy keep Griffin one to two nights a week, which is so nice! It helps me do the things I cannot do when he is here. They live far enough away that the overnight makes the drive easier! I am also spending lots of time eBaying and also working out (whoop whoop!!!) I am doing so good! I am working out hard on cardio M,W,F and then usually Pilates or Zumba on T, TR, Saturday. I love Prairie Life. I thank God for that place. I love the nursery and the food is divine. I am thinking about a possible 10 sessions with a trainer to get back to my goal weight. So far, I am down 50 pounds post baby. I would love to be in a 6! That is my goal. I am about 25 pounds away. And the dieting...well I have good days and bad days just like anyone!

I am trying to remember that I didn't gain it all in a day and I am not going to lose it in a day. And I usually do crunches and sit ups while the kids play. That is, until Griffin jumps on top of me and thinks I am a dinosaur.

Amy, Grace's mom, had a huge project she had committed to long before Grace was diagnosed. It was for the Writer's Symposium and it was to plan and organize the visit and performance of Maya Angelou.

Here is Amy before presenting her. This was held at The Curb Center at Belmont which is so nice!

Maya was absolutely beautiful both inside and out! Her stories were fascinating and she spent most of her childhood as a mute. She escaped through poetry and was heavily influenced by William Shakespeare. Such a fantastic lady.

Amy's support team! We had such a great time! And also keep praying for Grace! She is in terrible pain right now from chemotherapy and steroids. We are hoping after October things will start looking up Aren't they beautiful?

And this one is a MESS! She is my little shadow right now. She never gets more than 2 centimeters away from me. You think I am kidding? I am not. She is in my face from the time we get up until we go to bed. And she holds me around the neck while I pee. And she stands outside the shower and talks to me. Hysterical. I love her so much and I am so glad we spend every waking moment together. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Her boots are Minnetonka and they came from Nordstrom's also. I love that place. It's big trouble for me!

Griffin is wild like I said before. Here he is riding his zebra bare back. Yes, I cloroxed it off.

Here is the look of guilt. He just did something he was NOT supposed to. I am sure of it! Ha.

But those dimples save him!

She is now wearing a prosthetic penis out in public? Gross. What happens to these people? Brad Pitt? He hates his parents for raising him in a Christian home? You can kiss me good-bye. I will never pay to see one his movies again. Okay, I am off my soap box.

And I love decorating for Halloween. These are some mobile pictures of my favorite decorations. My sister bought me this candy bucket years ago from Target and it is my FAVORITE thing ever!!

I also have this pink glitter skeleton that I adore and I some how managed to just delete the photo. I will repost later! It is pretty cute, too. I always shop for decorations at Kohl's, Cracker Barrel, Michaels, and Target. Also Dollar General had some cute stuff, too! TJ Maxx and Marshall's always have great stuff as well.

Paisley passed her swimming test and ate off the You Are Special plate. Do you have one of these for your kids? I love this idea! We had growing up and it was a HUGE deal! You can find some really cute ones on Etsy.

I also organized the pantry this weekend and what a chore! It only took 2 days and 3 trips to the Dollar Store for all the buckets! HA! I love it though! It is so easy to see what I have and what I need. My next project is chalkboard painting the back of the door for a grocery list and also one wall for the kids to draw on. I am LOVING all these Martha Stewart like projects!! Pinterest is fantastic!!!

This past Sunday we tried out a new restaurant in Cool Springs called Brixx. It is a spin off of CPK and it is great! Wonderful pizza and salads, and great whole wheat pasta...It was yummy...

ANGEL CHICKEN. PARTY IN YO MOUTH.

You will want to make this one tomorrow. I promise!

Ingredients:

Sliced Mushrooms (I used two small cans because thats what I had)

1/4 dry white wine

1/4 stick of butter

1 package of Italian seasoning mix

1 package of cream cheese

1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup

Directions:

Spray Crock Pot with non stick spray

In a separate skillet, melt butter

Add Italian seasoning mix

Slowly add in soup, wine, and cream cheese.

In crock pot, layer:

Mushrooms

Chicken Breast

The sauce you just made in skillet

Cook on low for 4 hours.

I ccoked ours with white rice, broccoli, and a salad. It was delicious!

This will be on our monthly rotation!

GEORGIA AQUARIUM!

We took a mini vacation this weekend to Atlanta. Stephen had a meeting there last week, so we drove down and met him. It was fun to take the first road trip in my new ride and also see Atlanta. I usually just flew into Atlanta for work and flew home, so this was much more enjoyable. I am all about residential areas. I LOVED Ansley Park! As in, LOVED. You are so close to downtown, but then there are these huge parks right in the middle of the neighborhood. And absolutely gorgeous old homes that have been restored.

We stayed at the CNN Omni Atlanta. I would not recommend. Way too busy for me! Ha. There was a football game going on next door and approximately 40,000 fans were at our hotel (college students) and they were loud, rowdy, and smoking off the interior balcony and managed to set the fire alarm off by lighting a coat on fire. So we had to evacuate down 11 flights of stairs at 11pm. Mama was NOT happy. Needless to say our room was comped thanks to my complaining. My vote was for the W and that is where we will stay next time. Ha.

The best part of our trip was the food! We ate lunch at Legals Seafood. Fantastic. Great service, drinks, and crab cakes that were out of this world!! We also shared a piece of pumpkin bread pudding. Ridiculously good! (Maybe I will search a recipe on pinterest)

After lunch, we hit the Georgia Aquarium.

It was unbelievable! The Beluga Whale exhibit is out of this world and it should be for what we paid to see it! It costs $100.00 for 2 adults and a child. I also loved the close ups of the seahorses, the jellyfish, and the videos showing how they UPSed 2 whales to the exhibit. They reconstructed two planes to get them here. It was fascinating!

The bad parts of the aquarium were the amount of people who are touring (I would NEVER EVER go on a Saturday/Sunday again) and the fact that they don't limit the amount of time they let people stay in one area. They should prod them through (kidding) or something! People would stand at the glass and take pictures for 20 minutes. Who wants to see that crap? Your family does not want to watch a slide show of your vacation. And PS-They can google an image of a whale shark. The aquarium is also the largest in the world for water mass, so just keep that into consideration when you go. It's not the size of Rhode Island because that's what I was expecting!

My favorite parts of one of the exhibit was this IMAX screen window that was an underwater aquarium. It was like being in a submarine. We sat right at the glass on the floor and sharks are inches away from your face. Paisley poufy heart loved it...

The jellyfish exhibit was amazing!

I love love love lion fish. I want a saltwater aquarium for this fish alone!

Due to the power of my persuasion, Paisley got a stuffed dolphin and saved me a trip to the American Girl store (she also has a bamboletta, so that is her AG doll)...

On Sunday morning, we woke up and went to eat brunch at Murphy's. Probably the best brunch I have ever eaten. I had this chicken and tortilla dish covered in avocado, sour cream, and cheese. SO healthy....:) :) :) It was slap yo mama good!

I wanted to hit H&M before we went home (since Nashville stinks and does NOT have an H&M. Makes me mad just thinking about it!!) and it didn't open until 12pm, so we hit a local park in Ansley. Look how beautiful!!

Paisley had a good time monkeying around. She is getting so big. Makes me sad.

I cannot believe she will be 5 next year. I will need a Xanax the day Kindergarden starts.

This is my favorite age right now. Can I keep her 4 forever? Wahhhh.

She tells me I love you mommy 100 times a day.

My life (missing the other sweet Muffin, he stayed home with Grammy and Pappy)...

We had a great trip. Next up? Going home to Mississippi for 2 weeks! YAY!!!

NORDSTROM'S GRAND OPENING!!!

I am so super duper duper excited about Nordstrom's opening in Nashville!! Seriously, we have waited so freaking long for this. YAY. YAY. Double triple YAY!

My BFF Amy has had one heck of a year, so in honor of her birthday, me and the girls decided this would be a GREAT birthday present. SO we all loaded up in the mini swagger and headed to abbott martin for some food, drinks, and shopping!

The coolest "foodie" part of the event were these INSANE cakes that were made to look like Chanel purses, bags, and dresses. They were so beautiful and also delicious.

The store is absolutely beautiful! It is 3 stories, with the top floor being devoted to a high end clothing house, ready to wear, and also lingerie. The second and main floor is the AH-MAZ-ZING (yes, I used to Z's. It needs it) shoe department, A fantastic handbag department, The Chanel boutique, fine jewelry, women's dresses and evening gowns, and cosmetics. The third and bottom floor is men's wear and children's. The children's department is unreal. I bought Paisley the cutest pair of Minnetonka boots and a sequined hat that is to die for!!

The party was off the chain. Nordstrom's sold 2,000 tickets at $100 a piece, all going to charity for YWCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Cheekwood (Hysterical. Like Cheekwood needs anymore money.) Anyway, it was a fantastic party and the food, music, DJS, and interactive models made for a great night!!

Beautiful models that were interactive. SO cool!

MISSONI MADNESS AND MAYHEM!

Missoni Madness has set in!! I had big plans to be at Target at 7am on Tuesday morning, but when the site crashed at 6am on Tuesday I knew this was gonna be WAYYYYY bigger than expected! I am one of those crazies that bought out the store to resale. If you have a problem with this, I am truly sorry. It is simply known as "Economics 101: Supply and Demand." And PS-I have already made hundreds and hundreds of $$$. Target was way smart to create buzz with twitter, ads, and celebrity advertisement. Jessica Simpson and Jessica Alba joked back and forth about how they wanted the bike (the one piece I didn't buy that went for thousands...I stood in the bike department and debated for 30 minutes!!!!)

I QUIT MY JOB!

I find it ironic that this movie is coming out on Friday!! I think SJP's character is exactly where I have been the last few years of my life...in a race to try and do everything on my list. And make time for kids, work, friends, church, family,etc. etc. etc. I. AM. EXHAUSTED.

I have worked for 10 years in pharmaceuticals, as a representative, trainer, specialist, etc. etc. etc. The job has been one of calls, driving, samples, expense reports, dinners, lunches, snacks, birthday presents, remembering birthdays for 500 people, keeping up with appointments, and plane rides to New Jersey, Florida, California, Utah, Chicago, Kentucky, Mississippi, and the list goes on and on and on.

A few months ago I really felt the Holy Spirit and my conscience pulling at my heart. Every single Sunday morning I would sit at church and feel guilty that I was trying to rush through church, because I needed to get home and fold clothes and go grocery shopping and pack lunches and on and on and on and on! I would also feel guilty that my kids weren't at church on Sunday and Wednesday nights. I have prayed about this so much and slowly but surely God had revealed to me that it was time. Time to come to the house. Time to go home to Mississippi and see my family for longer than 72 hours. Time to be able to sit down and read a book. Time to get more than 5 to 6 hours a sleep a night, and not live off of Diet Coke and Phentermine. Time to play Barbies and actually stay at my house longer than 2 hours at a time. IT WAS TIME TO QUIT!

My mama and daddy have both been vital in this happening. They have supported me in so many ways and my mama has talked me thru all the tears. She also made me realize that change can be a good thing, and that my career is not over, just on hold temporarily. I am so grateful for my mama. I love her more than she will ever know.

So I resigned at 5pm today. I am officially the President of Goode Enterprises. I will be answering also to Paisley and Griffin, and manager of all playdates, music groups, reading times, and nose blower/boo boo kisser. I know that being a Stay At Home Mom is not always glamorous, but the guilt of never having time for anyone isn't glitter and roses!

I am looking forward to my new role. Please pray for me and my family in the weeks to come. Change is not always easy, but I will take it one day at a time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!

Yesterday we celebrated the 3rd birthday of sweet Grace Hamilton! She was the prettiest princess of them all! Her mama, Amy, teaches at Belmont University and lots of Amy's college students made sure she had a fantastic party! The historic Belmont Mansion was the backdrop!

There was face painting, crown making, cupcakes, marshmallow wands, mini sliders, chips, and pink princess punch! My good friend Kim Simpson made the cutest teapot cake (www.simpsonsix.blogspot.com) .

One of the coolest parts of the party was that Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, and their daughter, Sunday Rose, came and partied, too! Sunday Rose and Grace were in music class together last year, and they have been so sweet to call and check on Grace throughout this entire treatment period. Don't you wanna hate them? Sorry. They are the sweetest, nicest, most down-to-earth people in the world. And he's not bad looking, either. ha. The photo above is of Keith playing the piano.

And I am the Mayor. Seriously. HA! Our lives are so crazy busy. We have been looking into buying a car, and that is not fun to me! I get stressed out making big purchases!

1. My go to outfit for a dress-up occasion like a wedding is:

Strapless dress in a solid fun color, a pair of sexy metallic heels, a fun cocktail ring, and a cute evening bag.

2. This week has been: Awful. Our house appraised for 80,000 under what we paid. 4 years ago! And we did everything the right way. I am trying to remind myself it is in His timing, not mine.

3. When it's dinnertime and I'm feeling lazy I'll usually eat : Wine. Kim Crawford. Layercake. Cakebread. Barefoot. Does that count as nutritious?

4. My favorite pair of shoes is: My Nine West Bonfires in Nude OR my sparkly pink TOMS.

5. A random item that I own that is completely unnecessary, but that I can never part with is: A fly swatter that has a big faux flower on it.

6. My Go To Summer meal is: Grilled salmon on cedar planks, grilled cabbage, and a delicious salad. Dessert? A Sno Cone. Tiger's Blood.

7. If I were going to write my own essay it would say: "What I plan to do once I win the lottery."

WILLIAMSON COUNTY FAIR!

Being the Mississippi redneck I am, I can never ever turn down a trip to a fair! So we loaded up the kids and headed to Franklin on Saturday night. We also met Grammy and Pappy there, too.

The weather was decent, and way cooler than it has been the last few weeks. Don't get me wrong, it was still hot. But at least not misery!

We took the kids along in the wagon, and Paisley was a gem. Griffin, on the other hand, was the little circus monkey he always is. He has an appointment on Tuesday with an ENT named Dr. Witherspoon (as in, Reese's dad. I.WILL.DIE.), and hopefully, tubes are in the near future.

Paisley was a big fan of the misters.

And Griffin nearly had an aneurysm when he saw the Dollar General racecar. I let him sit in it and he was trying to crank the car. Hilarious. Boys are wild, wild, wild, wild!!! We also ate ablooming onion, two corn dogs, Lemonade, and Homeade Ice Cream. YUMMY!

He wasn't too happy that he couldn't ride anything. Paisley rode the elephants, nemo, ladybugs, tiltawhirl, and merry-go-round. She was a riding fool! She inherited that trait from her aunt Rana. She also went down the giant slide with her daddy!

No ensemble for the fair would be complete without boots!!! Last season, Baby Gap.

FALL TRENDS...

I am a summer girl, but I am not gonna lie, working in 100+ temperatures for over a month is getting OLD as Moses. I am ready for some fall clothes!! Here are some of my must haves!!

FLARE JEANS:

EVERY.SINGLE.RUNWAY.SHOW. FLARED JEANS. This is a trend that works on every body type. I bought mine from Old Navy. Yes, you read that correctly. My name is Katie Jane and I buy my jeans from Old Navy.

Mama here has a big old booty and hips (from babies and fried okra) and I love how Old Navy's jeans have lycra and they stretch. Besides, the money I save goes towards a handbag :)

My jean advice: don't drink carbonated beverages before you jean shop. always know that jeans will stretch. no camel toe, though. and mom, google camel toe if you don't know what that is(I will have a message later asking me, I just know it). Also, try on MANY MANY MANY pairs. Bring heels with you so you can see what they look like dressed up.

COLOR BLOCK IS HUGE!! I really love the red and pink. This dress is from Express. Supercute. Express has LOTS of great fall clothes.

THE COLOR RED. ESPECIALLY TOMATO.

Obviously, the runway is dramatic. But the color is amazing. Try incorporating it into your fall looks. It looks great mixed with black and brown.

SILK TIE SHIRTS (again, a throw back to the 70's)

Love this Rachel Zoe top. From Piperlime. It is pricey. I found one similar at Talbot's. YES! Talbots!! They have some great stuff this season.

Paisley: "Mommy, there is a little girl in my class with days of the week panties. Isn't that silly? And she wears Monday on Monday and Tuesday on Tuesday. Haha, Isn't that silly?! I want some. Can we get some after school?" Lord help me.

Stephen bought a juicer. I hate documentaries. He gets these crazy ideas about how juice is so healthy. My whole kitchen smells like celery and kale. Makes me want McDonalds French fries.

‎3 things make Griffin stop and drool on himself: 1) Peanut Butter Boppers (organic cereal that is the equivalent of PB Captain Crunch), 2) Paula Deen, and 3) Elmo.

A quote from Paisley: Mommy,Ohmygoodness, I really love some Reese's Peanut Buttercups. I know Jesus made them because they are so dewicious. They are my favorite candy. Mmmm."

Me:"Paisley,we need to wash your hair." P: "Ugh, well okay but I can tell you right now there is gonna be some cryin' involved. And I will need some candy." I am thinking Mommy will need a glass of wine and some of my sassy juice spray for Paisley. And maybe a spankin' spoon, too.

Oh, I love clothes. And bags. I am not that big of a fan of shoes, though. Yes, I said it. I just don't have that much luck besides boots. I love boots. We do have this fantastic place in Nashville called Marti and Liz. They have fabulous designer shoes for NOTHING! Like $24.99. Love it!

So, onto some clothes I like:

I am loving this MM Couture one shoulder dress that is $88.00. I think this is a great cocktail dress and you could dress it up or down. And it could take you into spring! All these looks are from Piperlime.

I also am crazy about this Tulle Faux Fur Jacket, $84.00, also at Piperlime. How great is this with jeans, or with a solid black dress for work. Very versatile. I am also a big fan of tan jackets. I think they look great with black, and who doesn't wear lots of black in winter?

Crazy about these Sam Edelman booties. I mean, this would be so hot with a black dress, black tights, and my bright green coat. Colored coats are a definite IN for fall!

Britney, Babies, Busy, Sno Cones...

Oh my goodness life has been busy! Work, kids, friends, chores, etc., etc., etc....

My BFF Amy and I went to see Miss Britney Spears. It was so fun and Britney was UNREAL!!

I love me some Britney and some Nicki Minaj. She lip synchs the whole show but the dancing, stages and costumes were off the hook!

We were quite possibly the oldest people there, but who cares?! We showed a bunch of 15 year olds that we can still dance and throw down in your 30's!! HA.

We also have been playing trains. ALOT. And usually Griffin and Paisley are naked. Yes, my children are nudists. One day they will love all these naked pics.

Stephen and I went on a sushi date for my birthday. It was so yummy. All you Nashville folks have to check out SushiMe. It is my favorite sushi ever. And it is 2 miles from our house. Sort of a problem. I am addicted!

I am also addicted to Tiger's Blood sno cones. Not good when you are on a diet and trying to lose weight! I am trying so hard to up my water and workouts, and leave the sugar alone. Easier said than done!

Griffin also loves to tag along upstairs to Paisley's room, and he really loves to pretend he is a baby. I could just eat him up!

Griffin also loves to try my sunglasses on! He really likes to dance and rock out, too :)

I have no EXCUSES but the last 2 weeks have been insane! work trip, MS, sick kids, work, work, my parents came to visit. It has been nuts. I am starting to become an elder. I like a routine. I am so READY to be back to normal crazy. Not crazy crazy.

Also, many of you know that my BFF's little girl Grace has leukemia. Y'all pray HARD for her. She is in the WORST part of chemo right now. You can keep up with her at www.caringbridge.org/angels4grace. Please pray for her mom and dad, too. There names are Amy and Forest.

I have NOT forgotten about ANTHROPOLOGIE. I will draw TONIGHT!

Also, my good friend Kim who has a blog here, is adopting the CUTEST little girl. You should all go and read about Kim's journey. I love her so much and her heart is as big as my sister's! HUGE! She truly is supermom.

OH SAY CAN YOU SEE...

Hey guys ... this is KTJane's Mom wishing a happy 4th of July to you and your family! As I celebrate with family and in my heart, I remember that my freedom is not free. My Daddy, though he never thought of himself as a hero, described the days and nights he spent in foxholes while fighting in the Pacific in WWII. He watched many of his commrades give their lives. My dear brother fought in Viet Nam. Regardless of our feelings about the rights or wrongs of the war, many many heroes fought and many died as they honorably defended the freedoms our country holds so dear. So my thanks to each of them, past and present, who give so selflessly so that we may enjoy the lives we live each day.

And now I am back! Happy 4th Yall! What about our waterslide? I am SUCH a good saleswoman. I FINALLY convinced Stephen that we needed this toy. We were on our way to Jackson/Madison Saturday and decided to stop in Toys R Us.

We love Little Tikes stuff and it all the websites gave this slide great reviews. It is a big hit with ALL the kids ages 10,7,4,3, and 1!

Griffin has been Mr. Cranky Pants! UGH. TIMES FOUR. Bless his little heart. He has a double ear infection and he is dying. And he has molars coming in. He also does not understand why he cannot climb up stairs, slam doors, and play with remotes, cell phones, and cords. Frustrating age. But he is dancing and talking. New words this week: quack, dog, bye,pop. He is so cute I can't stand it.

My mama and daddy's house is turning out so pretty. I just love it! My mama finally had curtains installed in the keeping room, so I thought I would show y'all.

I also love the formal dining room. She is waiting on furniture for this room. Slowly but surely :)

We have also been biking more and more. If you girls ever bike, make sure you get the shorts with bike pads. WHAT A PAINFUL CROTCH I HAD FOR DAYS!! LOL.

I hope you are all enjoying your family today! I am so blessed to have Salvation. Because when you are a Christian, every day is Independence Day!

And head to the nearest theatre...Bridesmaids is a RIOT. The funniest movie. EVER. It is crude and vulgar and don't go with your mom (lots of wow-chicka-wow-wow) but it is pee-in-your-pants hysterics.

I laughed until my stomach hurt. Goode Times!

TUESDAY WANTS...

Reading all these home decor blogs is making me postal! I am now ready to re-decorate my entire house. Stephen is thrilled :) HA!

Look how cute this pillow is? I found it on Etsy. I am a sucker for needlepoint.

And I ordered this one. Yes, I know. It is out there. But I LOVE it! It just makes me happy looking at it. I also want more orange and blue in my house.

And you all know I ALWAYS make my way back to clothes/bags/jewelry. What a great conversation piece. A beautiful Kenneth Jay Lane cocktail ring.

So, the rooms I am wanting to re-do first are my kitchen and my bedroom. Not really re-do. Just update. I LOVED Paris Hilton's kitchen in the new InStyle. It is very Alice and Wonderlandish. My kitchen already has this color countertops and floors. So painting is really my only need, and a new balloon drape. I am leaving my lights and not adding a chandelier. Even though I love this one.

I love those urns on her kitchen bar. Beautiful!

This bedroom I love, but this won't happen in my lifetime. HA!

However, these are closer to what might happen...

All these rooms make me so happy!

And these drapes are exactly what I want in my dining room!

Ideas for guest bedrooms....

And so the diet continues...this is my goal! HAAA! I have a LONG way to go. But I am getting there! Down 3 more this week! YAY!

You want to TRULY know what I love????

1) MY BABIES...Arrow pointing down.......I could eat this picture. The two things in this world that we made. I look at this and I see the love I have for Stephen. And why marriage is sacred. And children that are innocent that I adore. They are the only things in this world that make a crummy work day worth it ALL! They are both so different and they love each other SO much....makes my heart nearly burst when I see them love on each other.

I feel like Steve Martin in Father of the Bride (remember the scene when they tell each other they love one another the night before Annie's wedding?)

For those of you that are trying to conceive and and can't, please know that I am praying for you. And okay,okay. I will stop before you all quit reading and barf on your desktop.

2) SUMMERTIME! We have been doing lots of water activities outside. It is really too hot to do anything else! HA! Lots of popsicles, grilling out, planting flowers, slip and sliding, bounce housing, etc. etc. I truly love summertime. Best time of the year! Besides Christmas!

This picture makes me sad. My little baby is growing up. TEARS from Mama....

3) LIVING in NASHVILLE....

I have to admit....we live in a pretty fun city. There are ALWAYS activities going on, and LOTS revolves around music. SO FUN! This weekend alone was Bonnaroo and CMA Fest/Fan Fair.

We went on Sunday night and listened to a pretty great lineup.

Hootie and The Blowfish's Darius, The Band Perry (who I adore)....

Taylor Swift who is so cute and beautiful, but bless her heart. She cannot sing to save her freaking life (FLASHBACK: Grammy's with Stevie Nicks)

And these two were fantastic. They truly are Loretta and Conway. GREAT PERFORMERS!

And I will say it ALOUD. Blake Shelton=HAWT HAWT HAWT.

Blake honey, I will be your Honey Bee ANYTIME. I kid. I kid.

4) HARRIS TEETER EXPRESS LANE.

Sorry for those of you that don't have a Teeter close by. THEY HAVE ONLINE GROCERY SHOPPING!! All you do is pay $1.95 for all summer services, and they grocery shop for you!! Yes, you read that correctly!! You just click online what you would like, pull up in your car, push the button, and they bring it out!! They also do coupons! THIS IS A MOTHER'S DREAM COME TRUE!

5) WEIGHT LOSS.....FINALLY!!!!!

Mama is at 18 pounds down!! I am so thrilled!!! Thank you God for Atkins. I am always successful on this diet. Because I get full!

A sample day:

Breakfast:

Scrambled eggs

Turkey sausage

Atkins Chocolate Shake

Snack:

String Cheese

Atkins Bar

Lunch:

Salad, with meat, cheese, dressing

Hamburger, Chicken with no bun and Coke Zero ( I usually add cheese to my sandwich)

Snack:

red peppers dipped in guacamole

white wine (1 small glass)

Dinner:

Shrimp, Chicken, Steak

Broccoli or Spinach

Salad

Dessert:

Nothing :)

Carb Smart Breyers Ice Cream

or a sugar free Chocolate pudding cup.

It is hard but it is working!! I am SO excited. Mind over matter....

6) DATE NIGHTS TO NEW PLACES!!

Nashville has a new Brazilian steakhouse. I cannot wait to try it out!!

7) GOING HOME TO MY PARENTS NEW HOUSE....

9) QUALITY TIME AS A FAMILY OF FOUR...

These pictures are from my phone, so I apologize that they are fuzzy. But I love the fact that my husband is home ALL week. It makes my life so much easier. Plus, I love him and after 6 years, I long to spend more time with him now than I ever did.

This sweet thing is my soul mate...

We have not turned the TV on in a week (Okay, I did watch Extreme Couponing and Toddlers n Tiaras. I mean, MacKenzie was on, I had to tune in!) and we have been outside riding bikes and playing games. I love it. Family time is so fun and rewarding.

LAKE WEEKEND WITH THE DOBYNS!

This post is late, but that is pretty much the story of my life lately. Griffin just whips.my.butt! Ha!

Our good friends have lake house at down at Tim Ford's Lake. They invited us to come down and spend the weekend.

Slip and slide fun! The kids really didn't know what to do...

This toy was way more fun for Uncle Jeff and Stephen...

Paisley was asleep in 5 minutes flat! She and Hunter both slept the entire ride!

I am starting to realize that ANY trip involving children is work. Lots of work. They get bored very easily!

Overall, we had a really fun time. Amy and I also visited Hammer's. Hammer's is this discount store in Winchester that is loads of fun!!

Lance and a Cicada

Our good friends, The ,have the cutest children EVER....not to mention, they are hilarious. I mean, crazy stuff. Lane is WILD. I really hope that he and Paisley marry one day. He is hilarious. Reminds me of Stephen.

He isn't afraid of ANYTHING. Hence, here is Lance eating a cicada. This is also why I love Meredith. She grabs the video camera instead of stopping him. Brilliant.

While we were home in Madison, we had Mauri Hart take some pictures of the babies. I highly highly recommend her! She is so down to earth and a mother of three, and just a sweet girl. She has taken pictures of all the grandchildren since they were babies. She is also very reasonable.

That is a word I love.

SHOW US YOUR LIFE! RECIPES! SWEET ONION DIP!

2 cups chopped sweet onions
2 cups mayonnaise
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix together sweet onions, mayonnaise and Swiss cheese.
Transfer mixture to the baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned. Cool before serving.
