Steeplechase Nashville 2012

This weekend was Steeplechase 2012!

We celebrated pre race with a brunch and betting at our friend's house, The Devers.

They have an absolutely beautiful home and we ate some scrumptious food like eggs, grits casserole, pastries, sausage, bacon, and fruit. Also on hand were bloody marys and mimosas.

How gorgeous is this? I love the zippy cup! It adds pizzaz! HA.

We sat in the grand stands this time. Definitely more refined and quieter than the infield. HA. We had a really great time once the rain let up, which thankfully, was for most of the race.

Look who we ran into, our good friends, The Smiths. Love them and how cute are they matching?!

View from the stands. All those tents are what as known as "the infield" It gets pretty rowdy out there.

SLEEPING BEAUTY BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Paisley has hit a milestone! My baby is officially 5. Sobbbbbbbb. Anyways,  she won the battle this year and we had her birthday at her favorite place on Earth, Divas and Dudes. Divas and Dudes is a salon, but in the back, they have a stage, complete with karaoke, a runway, dressing rooms, make-up chairs, etc. Paisley hosted the Royal Enchanted Tea Party, complete with 16 friends! I must admit, it was really cute!

Paisley and all her little friends from school....Kaitlyn, Anna, Maillie, Camila, Blythe, and Skylar.

Paisley's dress is by Popatu and she is wearing Lelli Kellies on her tootsies. Sorry this is the only picture I have and she is looking down!

I love how excited they all were!!! This was like Christmas!!!
When they first arrived, they went to the dressing rooms and started trying on dresses. The clothes are so cute!!!
EXCITEMENT!!!

The sweet girls who helped were amazing!!!
Alex is my friend Becky's daughter, and she LOVED it!!!!

Sweet Grace is finally getting hair!! YAY!!!
The PARTY ROOM!
It looked like it had been hosed down  in high fructose corn syrup. I thought I might need an ambulance on standby for Stephen and his healthy self!! HA!
Playing on the runway and singing karaoke!
Beautiful Blythe!

After they tried on dresses, the got their nails painted and hair done, along with some glittery eye
make-up!
Lauren Taylor!
Lilly Kate!

Paisley takes it all SO serious! Ha!
Grace had such a great time!

Paisley begged me for Chocolate covered strawberries and also for cake push-ups! I loved the push ups! Such a neat twist.
Griffin stuck his hand in the Barbie cake about 5 minutes after being in the house, so I improvised with the ribbon to over up the BIG hole. BOYS! Ugh!
I made these fun little marshmallow wands. They were a big hit!
Marshmallow Wands!!!!

ALL THE PINK AND CANDY YOU CAN IMAGINE!!!

MY SWEET BABY GIRL IS 5!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT...

I used my Cricut to make the princess faces and the sanwhiches are cut into crowns and hearts.
All of my girlfriends!!

Making a wish!!!
Mommy and Daddy (Griffin was in the lobby with Grammy and Pappy!)...
For favors, the girls got to take home wands, fairy wings, glitter spray, and make-up.

Hope you all are well and having a wonderful Mother's Day!
We have been so busy with birthdays, school ending, church, etc. etc. etc.
Love you all!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Happy Mother's Day to the best mama in the world! You have always been my biggest fan, my toughest critic, my rock, my nurse (remember the times I would eat red sauce from Gary Road and throw up for 24 hours afterwards?), a shoulder to cry on (and usually after I cried you told me to "GROW UP!), a cheerleader, a book report doer (sorry to rat you out, but you made that Dickens Diorama), a fair but tough disciplinarian, and a butt whipper, even at 27 and in the middle of a C-Section (grow up! this isnt about you anymore…you are a mother now. Think about your baby!!!")…. You went to graduate school and finished wth a 4.0, all while planning a wedding, burying your mama and your brother within 6 months of each other, and my own HS graduation. I am the most thankful for that last one since now I have my own little babies and I know how hard it is to balance career, family, church, and the busyness of it all. Thank you for being a good parent. Thank you for NEVER being my friend but instead my Mother. Thank you for loving my daddy all the time, for kissing him and hugging him in front of us, so that we always know that you love him! Kids need to see that and I understand this now! Thank you for my sister and another sibling that I know I will meet in Heaven one day! Thank you for not buying me everything I wanted, and for teaching me boundraies in shopping… And lastly, thank you for telling me about Jesus. Because of this, I know we will be together forever, not just now here on earth but also in eternity! I love you more than you will ever know. XO KJ.
