We had a lazy weekend...

We had a fun night out Friday at Virago and Brent Young's Birthday Party at Hollywood Disco. Kelly, Amy W., Erin, and Anne Laura went also and it was fun catching up with old friends and just having a girls night out. Becky and Brian had a precious baby girl named Alexandria Kaye "Alex" Anderson. She is beautiful and looks like Nickalai. Saturday we went to a birthday party for Aiden Carr at Pump It Up. What a FUN place!! I want a birthday party there! Today has been catch up day, inventory, church, and now the pool. Hope you had a great weekend, too!

1.I mean, seriously....ALL I do is read, read, read this Twilight series. These books are like a DRUG!!! I am starting on the last one so hopefully I will be finished soon and get back to living a normal life. Edward Cullen is so DREAMY :)
2. I am so excited that my friend Becky is being induced tomorrow. I love her so much and can't wait to see the baby. They did not find out the gender so we are all just waiting!!!! I am thinking it is a GIRL!
3. I am VERY homesick. I really miss my mama, daddy, and sister. I really miss Joe, Anna Blaire, Isabella, and Tim. I miss Kiefers. I miss my house. I miss Bridgette's. I can't wait until next weekend.
4. Paisley starts dance on Wednesday! I am very nervous and excited. Who knows how she will do? She is taking with her friend Sarah Carson, so I am hoping that will help. She got fitted for her ballet shoes today and loved them!
5. I have lost 4 pounds. Not much, but at least I am going in the right direction.
6. Work is not going so well. I will be glad when I have new numbers to work with. I feel like I am chasing my tail. However, I am happy to have a job.
7. They finally paved our street today...hallelujah!
8. I have two girls nights in a row. Tomorrow night is Amy Dobyn's birthday celebration and Friday night Paisley and I are spending the night with Kelly. The guys are going camping so we are going to have a mini sleepover. Can't wait!
9. What about my new blog? SO SUPERCUTE!!! I love it! Thanks Danielle!!
10. Paducah tomorrow means goodnite!

We have waited two whole seasons for this. It was great and a perfect ending. They both looked amazing!!

2. I was sad that Serena and Dan did not end up together. But there is plenty of time in Season 3.
4. The clothes were unreal last night. They were off the chain, no doubt. They promised, and they delivered. I LOVED the yellow outfit Blair sported and all her amazing headbands.
5. I loved how they accessorized their Graduation robes. SO cute with all the pearls, diamonds, and headbands. So preppy and SO Constance Billiard!
6. I was in awe of the Queen Bee Headband. I loved it. How perfect will Jenny be as Queen Bee? She so deserves it!!
7. Chuck= Hotness.
8. I don't really care who Gossip Girl is. I thought they could have left that whole story line out.
9. I LOVED Blair's necklace at the graduation after party.
10. I Cannot wait for Season 3. I am READY for a PREVIEW!!!!

This series is insane!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I read 500 pages in nearly 3 days. You really will be sucked in once you get into it. It was a little slow starting but a GREAT series. I had to buy the second book, New Moon, at the airport just in case I finished the first one!! I highly recommend this Twilight saga. The hype around this book is because it is GREAT!! Such a 15 year old romance but very sweet and clean.

We had a fabulous time on vacation! We stayed at the Jupiter Beach Resort in Jupiter, right outside of West Palm. Paisley had fun on the beach, in the sand, and especially looking at touching all the seashells! She collected about 50, and we brought home all of them. We plan to take them to her classmates so they can see them, too. The beach was gorgeous. It rained Saturday morning and the rest of the trip was SUNSHINE! We needed it...Nashville has been about to float. We have had LOTS of rain! Friday we played on the beach and had ordered pizza for dinner since we were all so tired from traveling. Saturday we went to the beach and went to supper at the Food Shack. Delicious. I had sweet potato encrusted snapper...a party in your mouth!! Check out the website at Sunday, we went to the beach yet AGAIN and ate at Jetty's. Paisley and I had the stuffed shrimp. Unreal. Some of the best seafood I have had in a LONG time! I LOVE suntans, flip flops, Lilly, fruity drinks, shells, and good down time. I am not unpacked, but I am ready to go back!!!

Mother's Day Weekend!

We had a very busy weekend.  Paisley got a haircut, played with her new car, then we all ate at the Chili Burrito in Brentwood, and mommy got her new stroller! We walked at Crockett Park and also in our neighborhood, and went to Carabba's for Mother's Day lunch. It was yummy! Paisley ate half a plate of lobster ravioli and bread with olive oil. We had a wonderful weekend and I am very lucky to be the mommy of such a special little girl. I truly have never felt the love I have for her. She is my life. This is one of my favorite pictures taken. My life completely changed in an instant. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there and to all those who long to be one.

Happy Mother's Day To Me!

Happy Mother's Day to me! I got my new jogging stroller yesterday for Mother's Day! I am on a quest to get 25 pounds off by the end of the summer. So this is part of the way I am going to do it. I LOVED this stroller and my sweet husband knew I would LOVE pink. He was right :) Thanks S!! I love you! I hope you all have a wonderful mother's day.

Happy Birthday Sis!
You truly are my bestest friend in the whole world!
You understand me like no one else. You are a wonderful mother to my Joe, Anna Blaire and Isabella Claire. I am in awe of how much you are involved with for Joe's school and for all the other countless charities you help with (or donate jelly to).
Speaking of jelly, you seriously make the best fig preserves and pear honey I have ever put in my mouth! This girl puts away hundreds of cans each year! She does so much for so many people.
She is also a great masters level teacher in elementary education .
I really hope you start teaching are one of the best...and they need you! I also love your taste in home should have a side job in interior design :) As you can tell, I am a HUGE fan....I love you sis...
You know it is very hard being away from you today (actually everyday).
Hugs and Kisses!'

She is the best cook of all time...seriously. Her yellow cake with chocolate icing is fierce, along with her chicken spaghetti, turkey and dressing, corn pudding, sweet potato casserole (except when she put Splenda in it), and her pimento cheese. There are TONS more, those are just some of my favorites :)
She gives the best advice and is the most honest person I know. She has always lived by example. Growing up, she never told me to do anything that she did not do. As Paisley is getting older, I am already seeing what a profound effect this has on children. I will never forget when I was about 10 and went through the toll bridge in Gulf Shores. My mom gave the man a twenty and told him to pay for all the cars behind us. As a 28 year old, I still remember how thrilled that made me. I asked my mom, "But how will they know that we were the ones who paid?" My mom said, "That's not what's important. What is important is that we showed kindness."
She has always made us mind. Even now. Even at 28. Even during labor :)
She has always had eyes in the back of her head. ALWAYS.
After being married to my dad for nearly 40 years, she still loves him unconditionally. Even at 28 I love it when she tells me how madly in love they are.
My mom is my partner-in-whine. She always lets me vent to her about my job. I love her so much for that.
She always takes me shopping when she comes to town...gosh, I LOVE that so much! Stephen can't complain at ALL about what I get. And we go to good places, too. She knows I always buy for Paisley. I guess it is the buying cycle of mommies.
She has taught me so much about being a mother, from her nursing knowledge and mommy knowledge. She never cares if I call at 3 o'clock in the morning. And I do. :)
My mom has the most beautiful taste in jewelry. Especially her antique cocktail ring that I adore so much. I even wore it on my wedding day.
She has raised me in church and taught me the importance of taking Paisley to Sunday School and church. I am amazed at all my mom did and how hard she worked so that we could have all the things we needed and desired.
I Love You Mom more than you know. I am so glad that you fought your breast cancer and recovered. I know it has been a hard year. Thanks for all you do for us. Happy Mother's Day!

Grammy, all my friends are jealous. They tell me all the time how lucky I am to have you. I couldn't agree more. You are so helpful with Paisley and I don't tell you so enough for all you do. You seriously know the full 3 stanzas to every song and nursery rhyme. It makes me laugh! Paisley is already singing full choruses of "Are You Sleeping?" You are so selfless. You never ask for anything and are always willing to help and do anything asked of you. You truly have a servant's heart. You always bring the sweetest, most thoughtful little presents for Paisley. You find the neatest books, stuffed animals, etc. Thanks for being so generous and kind. Thank you for always giving us "couple time" and insisting we go on dates. You are so sweet to always think of us. Thank you for setting such a good example in your marriage. Stephen and I are lucky to have both sets of parents happily married. It is refreshing to have parents that we can turn to for advice, everything from raising children to finances. I love you so much and I am honored to have you as my mother-in-law and as Paisley's grandmother.

Today is my favorite office staffers birthday!! Nikki has been my favorite for four years! I love her so much. She always helps me out and makes my job so easy. I wish they all were as great as she is. She even came to see me when I had Paisley! Yesterday, we went and got pedicures and since Stephen was out of town, my sweet little helper tagged along, too. She decided she would also get a pedicure...she is going to be as high maintenance as mommy :)
Happy Birthday Nikki! You are smart, beautiful, SKINNY as all get out, and a precious sweet girl. Have a GREAT day! :)

Mayor Frank Melton Passes Away

I am very saddened that Jackson, Mississippi Mayor Frank Melton passed away early this morning. For those of you not from Mississippi, Melton was controversial over many things but he was a man of passion and conviction. You definitely knew where he stood on certain issues. He was about removing drugs, drug dealers, and crime from the streets. I always loved him because I felt he truly was concerned with our school and education system. You will be missed. Thank you for all the good things you accomplished for the city of Jackson.

I am so sad that Allison got eliminated last night! I LOVED her!!! She is so cute and spunky and has an incredible voice...unlike Gwen Stefani :) I love you Gwen but that was AWFUL. Maybe she should have lip synched :)

She is going to SCREAM when she sees it put together. This is her favorite toy in  Toys R Us.
I bought in on sale and with a coupon and gift card.
I also had to pick it up in Bowling Green.
Obviously, this is popular with the 3 and 4 year olds..I have been looking for one for 2 months straight. I am a little envious...I want to paint my SUV PINK! I will post pictures as soon as it is assembled.

Olay has just introduced a new cream to the Regenerist line, the Micro-Sculpting Cream. This cream is important for one huge reason, this is the product with the highest concentration of the Regenerist amino-peptide complex! If Olay is using peptides, they are important!

This cream also is incredibly hydrating, primarily due to "an Olay-exclusive intracellular fortifier made up of hyaluronic acid... and hydrating glycerin." Now, hyaluronic acid is a pretty large molecule, but there is some literature about smaller bits of it, and if that's what is in this cream, no wonder it is soooooo incredible! That's strong stuff!

How cute are these dresses and caftans?
The long maxi dress is from Banana Republic. Worth the money because it is so versatile! Perfect for weddings, beach, cookouts, showers, etc.
The first two are reasonably priced at Old Navy for $24.99 each.
I might have to buy these :)

American Idol!

I am definitely a fan of Adam Lambert.
What a performer!!!
I LOVED LOVED LOVED Allison's hair. It looks much better with some length.
I am hoping that Chris goes home tonight. Sorry Chris fans :(

Stephen, Paisley and I are going to West Palm Beach next Friday thru Monday! I cannot wait for Lilly Pulitzer, fruity drinks, Worth Avenue, puppies, sunshine, swimming, seafood, and time with two of my favorite people!! XOXO KJ

I hope you girls (and gals) have your tickets for Legally Blonde!
The TPAC June 25th-28th
I can't wait!!
Thanks Amy for suggesting this for my birthday.
I love you!!

Paisley eating chocolate...this isn't messy at all!
Just like mommy, she LOVES Elle Woods!!!

It has been raining for 5 straight days!!! YUCK!!
Needless to say, we spent most of the weekend indoors.
We had a very lazy, relaxing weekend at home.
Friday, we made tacos and guacamole in honor of Cinco De Mayo!!!
Paisley LOVES queso! She cracks me up!
The hotter the better...she is my little chili pepper! After I put her to bed, I went to our Department Sunday School Sleepover. So much FUN!! There were 13 of us who spent the night and we had a blast...very good for the soul!
On Saturday, we took our monthly Costco shopping trip and Stephen insisted we purchase a new camera. My camera was drenched in apple juice earlier in the week! I seriously cannot LIVE without a camera. I bought the same one I had, just an updated version,
the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS.
It was sooo time for a new camera! The pictures are so clear! Thanks honey!
Sunday was an awesome day...We had 92 in Sunday School!!
A great sermon and worship from our church and
our new Music Minister Joe Fitzpatrick!
Hope you have a great week!!
XOXO-Katie Jane
