LOTSA THINGS I AM LOVING...

One of my favorite things about fall is Halloween candy. It is so good! I LOVE to mix peanuts and candy corn together and eat them. It tastes just like a Payday! SO yummy. I double heart LOVE salty and sweet.

How cute are these earrings? I purchased these from Forever 21.

Love this leopard from there. So adorable. Perfect for a night out!

And this is just too cute for words and under $30

Perfect earrings also from 4ever 21. I love wearing navy with and brown and gray. A really fun combination.

Such a cute print dress from Betsey Johnson. I would rock this with leggings and ballet flats.

Y'all know how bad I want a French Bulldog...this ring is from Betsey Johnson.

And the cupcake earrings...also Betsey.

And this is my favorite. Mama, if you are reading this....I WANT THIS UNDER THE TREE. With my name on it. FROM SANTA!

Some cute dresses from Betsey Johnson.

Love this skirt from her.

How cute are these cupcake PJ's?! Made by The Cat's Pajamas.

Precious bag from Forever 21.

Such a cute purse. Also from Forever 21.

I am also LOVING these eyeshadow quads from Maybelline. I like the copper
on the top left. These stay on well all day.

I love this dress (yes, it is a dress) from Express online. Cobalt blue is a great winter color.

And I love these shoes from Express.

Probably my favorite new show on this fall is Hellcats.

And Baby Gap is going to be the death of me..... Here are some of my favorite pieces from their Holiday collection.

Blue cheetah leggings...are you kidding? PRESH.

Black skinny jeans just like mine.

And fur boots? SO Flo-Rida.

Now, this is for me. Forever 21 ring.

I love this Microderm Abrasion paste by Rodan and Fields. It is marvelous. It takes 1-3 minutes and it feels like you have had an hour long facial.

I love these boots from Old Navy. So cute for $39.50
LOVE this sequined tank. Great under a suit or a military jacket.

Enough for now. What are you loving?

NEIMAN MARCUS $250 COOKIES

While we were in Chicago, we strolled through the purse section at Neiman Marcus. Which is what I imagine Heaven will be like. A cool, clean handbag department. HA. Anyways, it reminded me of the Neiman Marcus cookies my grandmother Bugger used to make (yes, we called her Bugger. That is another story for another day.)
These cookies are divine!!
ENJOY!!
Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1-3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder
1-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream the butter with the sugars using an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy (approximately 30 seconds)
2.
Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract for another 30 seconds.
3.
In a mixing bowl, sift together the dry ingredients and beat into the butter mixture at low speed for about 15 seconds. Stir in the espresso coffee powder and chocolate chips.

4.
Using a 1 ounce scoop or a 2 tablespoon measure, drop cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Gently press down on the dough with the back of a spoon to spread out into a 2 inch circle. Bake for about 20 minutes or until nicely browned around the edges. Bake a little longer for a crispier cookie.
Yield:
2 dozen cookies

CHUCK BASS....I. AM. SPEECHLESS.

I can't decide if I like this sweet Chuck or if I miss my bad boy. Either way, I would drink his bath water.

The Windy City. No. The Shopping City.

This past weekend, me and three of my girlfriends (Amy, Amy, and Lacey) went on a little shopping marathon to Chicago.
We flew Southwest SUPERCHEAP (like 90$ bucks round trip) into Midtown.

We took the train from the airport to our hotel, The Silver Smith. It was inexpensive and very convenient to shopping!! We cabbed it maybe 3 times the entire trip.

We ate at my FAVORITE restaurant in the ENTIRE US of A.....and let me just say, that says a whole lot. Because I absolutely love love love food. This place is ridiculous. The original Joe's is in Miami, Florida. But Chicago is a close second. We had the stone crabs, which they crack at your table. As in, all you do is dip in butter and eat. OMG. I can't even describe how great this place is.

After we stuffed ourselves at Joe's, we went to this cute little hotspot called Pops, a champagne bar. It was superfun and girlie.

Friday morning, we started shopping at 9am. And we finished around 9pm. We seriously shopped until we were sore. My arms hurt. My side. And my neck. Who knew? I hope shopping becomes the new 30 day shred.

We went to eat dinner at the second night at Sushi Samba. It was a delicious place to grab some tini's and a few specialty rolls. So good. And if you are wondering where the pictures are, I took none. Very rare for me. I am usually a picture taking fool.

Afterwards, we went to Epic. Epic is a very trendy hot spot right now in Chicago. If you go there anytime soon, check it out. We had fun!!
But the shopping was ridiculous. We went to three different H&M's, three different Zara's, a 4 story Old Navy that was the BOMB, The Gap on Michigan (where I purchased Pais some REAL cute stuff), and Forever 21, which is the best store EVER. So, so, so, so, FUN. We were there a very short time, but did lots of damage.
So fun. I have missed you all. Life has been incredibly busy, but I am trying to catch up on chores and life.

20 Random Thoughts....

20 Things:
1. I own about 12 green sweaters. In every shade. If I get ready to
buy a sweater, it is always in green.
2. I spray tan twice a week. I'm tanorexic.
3. I spray the cabinets in my kitchen clean probably 3 times a day
with Method Spray cucumber melon.
4. I could eat at the Cheesecake Factory everyday for the rest of my
life and not get sick of it. I would also weigh 600 pounds.
5. I promise I have more magazine subscriptions than anyone you know. My friends
immediately go look in my master bathroom as soon as they come over.
Cracks me up. I have subscriptions to:
Us Weekly
Elle
Vogue
InStyle
Marie Claire
Life and Style
Southern Living
People
People Style
Mississippi
Nashville Lifestyles
Cooking Light
Ok! Magazine
Wasn't lying
6. I go to the salon once a week for a blow out. I'm getting lazy in
my old age. I wash my hair once a week other than that. I just don't
have time.
7.I cannot sleep in an unmade bed. Even in hotels. It makes me feel eek.
8.I secretly want to be a songwriter.
9.If I won the lottery, I would love to own a huge retail store.
Probably called Magnolia Janes. I daydream about what it would look
like.
10.I would also have a house full of kids and pets. At the end of the
day, life Is all about living for God and the relationship you have
with Him and with your family. The older I get, I am learning that
nothing else really matters. Don't stay mad at people. Let stuff go. Life is just too short.
11.I can recite "Oh The Places Youll Go!" by Dr. Suess in it's entirety.
12. I dream every single day about being skinny and weighing 120 pounds.
But then I eat ice cream and the dream is over.
13. I love listening to my mama make up bedtime stories. My favorite
one is "The Night The Babies Went Wild in The Nursery." So funny!
Paisley thinks it's so funny, too. My mama is a published author and has the most creative imagination EVER. I hope my kids inherit that trait!
14. Sometimes I hear kids talk to their parents, and I think they need
to be slapped in the face. At 30, my mama would slap me if I
back talked. It is unnreal how parents "allow" their kids to behave. I don't
buy it.
15. I love it when my husband writes me a card. He is such a great
writer and very sincere. I hang them on a bulletin board in my closet
and look at them when I get dressed in the morning.
16. I also love it when we go on dates. Please please promise me you
and your spouse go on dates. Without kids! Buy a new outfit, make him
open the door, hint around for flowers, and talk about things other than work. I absolutely
LOVE date nights!!!! And no movies. You can't talk during a movie.
Stephen and I go eat dinner, go to a concert, go to an exhibit, etc.
Oh, and always shave your legs and put out. More dates will follow. I promise.
17. How can I possibly follow 16? Hehe.
18. I could go to Target every single day of my life and spend $100. At least $100 Maybe $1000
19. I don't know why people are so rude and hateful. And have
attitudes. Especially in sales? Ughhhhhh. Being nice gets you SOOO much further in life. Pay
people sincere compliments. Say please and thank you. And have a nice
day. It really is easier to be nice. Your life is not really that hard.
20. Count your blessings. It is easy to dwell on the things that are wrong/bad/negative in your life. But think about the great things.

HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!!

XOXO KJ

LABOR DAY FUN...

We went to Mississippi over Labor Day weekend and had a grand time. My children LOVE to spend time with their Gigi and Papaw and with their cousins. My sister has three babies, Joe who is 9, Anna Blaire who is 6, and Isabella Claire who is 2. Paisley thinks they are the greatest!!

My mom and dad are nearly finished with their house. They move in Friday and we are SO excited! It is absolutely beautiful and my mama's kitchen is to die for!! It is also on a lake and we are all excited about fishing. God has truly blessed my mama and daddy and even though I am partial, they are such fine people. I am so happy for them...

We also went to eat at some of my favorite places....Kiefers, BOPS, and Cock of the Walk. Cock of the Walk is this catfish place where the waiters serve you tableside jalepeno cornbread and it is RIDICULOUS!! They also serve tea out of these cold silver mugs..I get hungry thinking about this place!!!

On Sunday, we went on a picnic to Rocky Springs. Which was real fun until we saw a snake. And then I was over it.

I am NOT a wilderness girl. Stephen and Griffin will get to camp out together. HA!

And this last picture. Well, POOR OLE MISS. AND POOR US. The fans are pretty bummed out, too. But hopefully we will return a better team next year! HA!

XOXO-

PS- What about Griffin sucking his thumb? He is the cutest thing EVER!!!!

J'ADORE DIOR!!!

I am a little late getting this blog post up. Imagine that? Ha. Anyways, we celebrated my BFF Amy's Birthday last Sunday at The Frist Center viewing The golden age of Couture: Paris. It highlighted the clothes during the 1960s. Lots of original dresses from Christian Dior, Balenciaga, and more. It was so fun picking out our favorite dresses and fabric.

Afterwards, we ate dinner at Taco Mamacitas. Amy's little girl Grace joined us. She is so stinkin' cute.

Aren't these the cutest cupcakes? They are from Homestyle Bakery in Nashville.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!
