SHOW US YOUR LIFE KIDS PARTIES....

This week on Show Us Your Life from Kelly's Korner is all about Kids Birthday Parties!!! One of my favorite subjects EVER! This is a long post, so get comfy.....

I started planning Paisley's first birthday right after I left the sonogram at 20 weeks (okay, not that soon, but pretty close.) I try to find my theme a year before so I can start planning and searching for items. I am big fan of parties at home. Yes, your house is a mess. But at the same time, you don't have to pay to rent a space. We are on the very end of a street, so we have a quiet cul-de-sac which usually works perfectly for parties.

First up are pictures of Paisley's First Birthday Party: Hello Kitty. I used lots of pink and purples. I found this cute 1 pinata at Celebration Express, along with lots of pink "Number 1" party decorations.

We blew up about 100 balloons, so I rented a helium tank, along with a cotton candy maker and a bounce house.

I had a lady off of E-Bay make this dress for me. It turned out so cute. I later had Mauri Hart in Jackson, Mississippi make some pictures in this dress. Paisley still plays dress up in it!

You're Invited in Belle Meade made her invitation. It was so cute! It read, "Hello Kitty, Ice Cream, Jumping, Fun. Our little cupcake is turning One!"

My friend Morgan Shockley helped me with the food. She did a wonderful job. We had fruit skewers, grilled chicken strips with sauces, a pink chocolate station with all the sides, like pound cake, strawberries, apples. We also had pb&j sandwiches cut into shapes like Hello Kitty's face, and lots of dips, hot and cold. Morgan also rolled out ice cream balls, so when it came time for ice cream, they were ready to go on plates.

Some of the decorations.....

Hello Kitty cupcakes and petit fours from Sweet and Sassy Bakery in Belle Meade....

Hello Kitty also made an appearance....

We also had tables and chairs set up in the garage and drive way. I rented these from Classic Party Rentals....

Gigi and Papaw gave Paisley a bubble machine....She loved it!

Love my mama and daddy....

Me, Paisley, and Hello Kitty...

I bought this Hello Kitty outfit also off of E-bay. It was perfect for the party!!

Uncle Jeff with some pink chocolate....

The cakes....maybe my favorite part....made by Kim Simpson from Posh Cakes....

I had the cutest Hello Kitty bracelet on, I hate you can't seeit in this picture!

I love this sweet face...I can't believe she is about to be four!! For favors, I had one balloon for every child tied to a pink bucket that was painted with every guests name. Inside was candy, bubbles, and a big pink sugar cookie with the number 1 on it. Sorry I didn't have a picture :( This year, I am having a photographer come to both parties to take pictures. I feel it is well worth the money!

Paisley's Circus 2nd Birthday Party (my favorite)....I loved this jump house. It matched the party so perfectly!!
It came from Balloon Media...

Kim outdid herself on this cake!! It looked fabulous....

This entire party idea/supplies/ decor came from Oriental Trading and off of Etsy......

This all turned out so cute!

I rented the long tables from Classic Party Rentals, along with the kids table and chairs. We also rented a cottomon candy machine and we purchased a popcorn maker. I also found these lollipops and popcorn buckets at Target Dollar bins. I loved them!

The big top circus cups were purchased from Oriental Trading!

Personalized water bottles.....

My father in law made this bean bag toss we had set up for candy! It urned out perfect!

For gift bags, they got candy, red clown noses, punching balloons, and a free milkshake from Chik-Fil-A!

The Magical Mermaid Third Birthday was definitely the easiest of the 3. I had a 5 week old baby, so my OCD self was definitely not at 100%. I decided to have the party a month late at our neighborhood pool. The party was at 10am in the morning and I had Chik-Fil-A cater it with fruit, cinnamon rolls, and chicken minis. We also had Blue "Lagoon juice" and Orange Juice. I also ordered cupcakes from the bakery and we had ice cream cups to go along with it.
This is the exact invitation I used....also from Etsy...

I rented two long tables and tablecoths and had lots of balloons.

I bought the PDF file from Etsy and printed all the cupcake toppers, invitations, thank you stickers, and food labels.

Hope you all enjoyed my post! I will have more party updates in a few weeks! XOXO-KJ
